I am a proud alumna of Gulberg College. I did my Bachelor’s of Arts (2years) session (2003-2005) from the college. I had the honor to be the disciple of Ms. Zarina Khaled and Miss Nausheen Sardar. They have played an instrumental role in building strong foundation for English literature which helped me acquire admission for Masters in English Literature from Punjab university and M.phil in English Literature from Kinnaird College For Women, Lahore in 2016. I have acquired numerous certificates in Creative Writing from national and international institutions.
My main area of interest is feminism and creative writing with a sharper focus on diaspora female writers, politicization of the veil, AI and its intersection with creativity and I am equally interested in immigrant literature and notion of home. I also have the honor to publish research in international journals to my credit. I have also presented papers at international conferences held at leading universities in Pakistan. I am also a published poet and a short story writer, and my first collection of short stories is due to be out soon. As a proud alumni, I can claim that Gulberg College has played a role of a cradle for building strong foundations for Literature and writing.
Ms. Hina Shafique
Hina Shafique is also an active member of the Gulberg community. She graduated from GGCW Gulberg in 2019 with a degree in Computer Science. She is working in various fields. She rejoined GGCW Gulberg in 2023 in the Library Department, where she is working on the e-library automation system. She is credited with developing websites for her alma mater. Gulberg College is thankful for her great service and extends many best wishes for her future.
