Principal's Message

Dear students,

As we continue to focus on our mission of excellence in research, education, and moral values at GGCW Gulberg, our aim is to provide the best educational opportunities for our students. This commitment remains a vital priority, guided by our vision: “Live to learn”, and our mission of providing quality education and empowering female students.

We aim to foster a learning environment where we can learn from one another by sharing ideas and views. At our best, we demonstrate care, warmth, and respect for each other as members of the Gul-o-Berg community.

We have enhanced services to support our students and graduates in succeeding in their careers, including career counseling advisory services which establish stronger connections with employers, We have also increased commitments to sustainability and invest in training and wider student and staff support.

A central goal for the academic session 2024-25 is to increase the diversity of the talent pipeline in a changing world. We are proud of our success in engaging professional alumni and embedding social, emotional, physical, and cultural intelligence development, along with digital proficiency, into every course to prepare our graduates for practical life.

Our 23 different societies aim to train our students in complex problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, resilience, stress tolerance, and flexibility.

We have achieved significant milestones, including securing seven top positions in LCWU Lahore, establishing the first-ever Digital Library in public sector colleges in Punjab, and offering unique programs like Textile Design BS Degree. Our eco-friendly campus, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as computer research labs and advanced Chemistry & Biotechnology labs, contributes to the success of our highly skilled faculty and graduates.

In the new academic year, we have set ambitious targets, including launching our new website and transforming our college magazine, Gul-o-Berg, into a research journal with an international conference.

We eagerly anticipate opening our doors to students, staff, alumni, parents, and neighbors, inviting them to understand not just our history of community engagement and change, but also how we are actively making a positive difference in our communities now and in the future. So welcome to a world where you
“LIVE TO LEARN”

Quality Enhancement / Assurance Committee (QEC/QAC)

Dr Arifa Kayani
Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC)

  • Quality Enhancement and Assurance Cells (QEC/QAC) are significant bodies in college for the enhancement and assurance of educational standards. Dr Arifa Kayani is the director of both cells. QEC is working under Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Government College University, Lahore, while QAC is working under Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Lahore College for Women University. A quality higher education system is essential to the successful development and functioning of an open and democratic civil society. In this regard, both enhancement and assurance procedures provide a framework within which a college can examine and enhance its education to achieve the aspiration of excellence. Quality assurance is important for institutions to help them maintain and improve their efficiency, leadership, and especially students’ progress by self and external assessments. By working towards quality assurance standards, the college ensures that both staff and students support high-quality inclusive teaching and learning.
