BS Examination Office
The college BS Controller’s Office works under Ms. Rubab (Controller of Examinations) and Dr. Talhat (Deputy Controller of Examinations). A committee is in place to ensure the quality of the examination system in coordination with LCWU’s Controller Office.
Semester System:
All FYDPs in all departments follow the semester system. In 2023, LCWU adopted HEC’s new undergraduate policy, which also applies to its affiliated colleges. For details about the new undergraduate policy, please visit the Link.
Rules of the Examination (Semester System):
The BS program is a four-year degree consisting of 8 semesters. Exam registration is based entirely on merit. Students should follow these instructions:
- Marks Distribution: It is mandatory to appear in all exams. The division of marks for the semester is as follows:
- Mid-term Exam: 30 Marks
- Quizzes, Assignments, and Presentations: 20 Marks
- Final Exam: 50 Marks
- Total: 100 Marks
- Attendance: Students with less than 80% attendance are not allowed to sit for the final exam.
- Passing Criteria: Students must secure at least 50% marks in each test and exam. In case of failure:
- A re-sit exam will be conducted.
- A failed student is allowed up to two re-sit attempts while continuing her classes.
- If she cannot pass in two re-sits or fails to appear, she will be considered as “dropped.”
- Dropped Students:
- Dropped students must discontinue their academic session.
- Their academic activities will remain suspended until they clear the failed subjects.
- Cheating Offences: Any student found guilty of the following offences:
- Cheating during exams
- Impersonation
- Submitting fake or forged documents
- Copying from any source (papers, books, or notes)
- Possessing a cell phone or any electronic device during the exam
The case will be referred to the Committee for Unfair Means Cases for investigation. If found guilty, the committee may impose one or more of the following disciplinary actions:
- Cancellation of the paper
- Suspension from the program for one semester
- Fine of Rs. 2,000/-
- Permanent expulsion from the university if the offence is severe or cognizable under the law. Legal proceedings may also be initiated as per applicable laws.
