It is a supreme body constituted under the order of the HED and approved by the commissioner. The council comprises the Principal, the Vice Principal, a senior most Professor, an Associate Professor, an Assistant Professor, a Lecturer, students’ representatives from Inter, and Graduate classes, parents, philanthropists, a Member of Punjab Assembly and Govt representatives. There are some opted members who are taken as per their social status or academic acumen. The council exercises immense powers in matters relating to college affairs. It can expel a student from college in case of gross misconduct. The decision of the College Council is not challengeable at any forum.
