The Biotechnology Department launched a four-year academic degree program in 2022, aimed at transforming lives through excellence in education and research. The department provides a dynamic environment for academic and research pursuits.
Biotechnology is a multidisciplinary field with a profound impact on human life, offering applications in healthcare, agriculture, food safety, climate change, and environmental protection. It has revolutionized diagnostics, therapeutics, and personalized medicine.
Biotechnology graduates have excellent career opportunities in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, fermentation, forensic agencies, and research organizations like CEMB and PCSIR, as well as opportunities in academia through Punjab Public Commission and foreign universities.
