Department of Fine Arts-BFA (Painting) FYDP
The Department of Fine Arts, one of the oldest at the college, was upgraded in 2010 following its affiliation with Lahore College for Women University under HEC policy. The department offers a four-year BFA (Painting) program designed to prepare students for international art academia.
The first year serves as the foundation year, covering practical and theoretical courses alongside compulsory subjects. In the second year, students advance to more specialized major, minor, and compulsory subjects. By the third year, students select their major and complete a mini-thesis, culminating in a final thesis during the fourth year.
Students gain extensive training in diverse art genres, actively participate in exhibitions and competitions, and consistently achieve distinctions and medals at the university level. The department is supported by highly qualified faculty committed to nurturing academic excellence, creativity, and confidence, enabling students to become valuable contributors to society.
